Serving: Bolivia
BIO
Michael and Chrissy Martin serve with Friends in Action, with Michael functioning as a Self-Funded Missionary focused on supporting pastors and ministry leaders in the Beni region of Bolivia and throughout the Amazon rainforest. Michael’s journey into missions began in 2014 with his first trip to Burkina Faso, Africa, where he felt God’s clear call to go and obediently stepped into cross-cultural ministry. During that experience, he sensed a growing conviction to serve in a Spanish-speaking context, which later led him to Bolivia through a vision trip with his church.
Since 2015, Michael has helped lead multiple short-term mission teams to Bolivia, previously serving in and around the Sucre region. His current focus is on building relationships with pastors serving in remote and often unreached areas, listening to their needs, and working alongside them to explore sustainable, long-term solutions that reduce dependence on outside funding. Through their partnership with Friends in Action, Michael and Chrissy hope to see the gospel reach unreached people groups throughout the Amazon and to encourage pastors faithfully serving in challenging and isolated environments.
Michael and Chrissy are members of Crosspoint City Church in Cartersville, Georgia, and are the parents of four sons: Tyler, Ezra, Elijah, and Cruz. Michael enjoys working out, building businesses, and is primarily involved in real estate.
