Raphael and Abi Cardinale join the FIA team together as a married couple. Raphael (Rafe) serves as the Spiritual Care Coordinator, driven by a love for digging into God’s Word and fostering theological depth. A graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute, he earned his bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Liberty University and is currently pursuing a master’s in theology there. Abi serves as the Member Care Coordinator, bringing a deep passion for mental health and a commitment to ensuring workers are holistically supported. She also graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute and went on to earn her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in clinical mental health counseling from Lancaster Bible College. Together, they strive to see workers mentally, emotionally, and spiritually prepared for the Lord’s work. Their hope is that through their ministry at FIA, both domestic and international workers will become more resilient and remain firmly grounded in Christ.
The Lord led Raphael and Abi to FIA through a time of prayerful discernment. After many God connections and conversations, it became clear that FIA was the place God wanted them. The couple has a history of ministry together, having served as counselors and support staff at Christian camps where they loved pouring into the lives of youth.
Outside of FIA, Abi finds a creative outlet in cooking and enjoys exploring local coffee shops. Rafe is often found immersed in theological study, playing sports, or enjoying video games with friends. Together, they love traveling and movie nights. They are excited to serve the FIA family from the United States.
