Amanda Brandt Foundation
Having a heart that beats for those in need, Amanda Brandt spent her life pouring her time, energy, and compassion into people. After serving with FIA on a trip to Nicaragua, Amanda made a lasting impact showing what it means to have a servant’s heart. That is why after Amanda went home to be with the Lord in 2018, FIA established the Amanda Brandt Foundation as a way to honor her memory. Though the investment from the Foundation has shifted over the years, FRIENDS leadership (with the support of the Brandt family) has decided to focus the Foundation’s support to align best with the nature and character of Amanda.
A Legacy That Is Taking Real Action
Milandila Community Missions
One such Outreach & Relief ministry supported through FIA is Milandila Community Missions in Uganda. In Uganda, obtaining medical care is difficult due to financial strain, lack of transportation, and scarce medical supplies—making childbirth especially dangerous. To be accepted into a hospital for labor, women are expected to have their own supplies, or they will be turned away. Because of this, many are left in critical condition. Family Life Center – An Identified Need Met
“It’s been super impactful for these women…to know that someone wants to come alongside them and encourage them and care for them. The new building is really beneficial…in giving them the resources they need. I think that really just shows them the unconditional love of the Lord. I am so pleased to continue to celebrate my mom’s time here on Earth…” by caring for others as she did with a “loving spirit and passion to serve.”

When hearts are fully surrendered to God, He works through them with extraordinary power. As He did with Amanda, Reagan, and many others, God is ready to use those who are willing to respond to His call to serve. Through the Amanda Brandt Foundation, we desire to make room for everyone – even those unable to “go and serve”- to participate in the blessings God is bringing through this work. Donations made through the Foundation will result in a direct impact on the lives being transformed by Christ by way of the various Outreach & Relief ministries supported through FIA (such as the Family Life Center in Uganda).
