Join us for our 2026 Annual Awareness Banquet, “Many Still Thirst: Where water flows, the gospel goes.”

This is a special year for our banquet. In years past, we have hosted two back to back dates, but this year we are gathering for ONE single evening only. So mark your calendars and make plans to join us!

This banquet is a beautiful chance to come together, hear stories from the field, and celebrate what the Lord has been doing through Friends in Action International around the world. From clean water initiatives and multi trade construction to international shipping and the missionaries we serve alongside, our purpose remains the same: to lead and point people to Jesus. Many still thirst, both for clean water and for the Living Water that only Christ can give, and we cannot wait to share with you all that God is doing to meet both needs.

Whether you have been a longtime friend of FIA or this is your first time hearing about us, you are warmly welcomed to this evening of fellowship, inspiration, and impact.

Guest Speaker: Jeremy Effler – FIA West Africa Field Leader

Jeremy Effler has been serving with Friends in Action International since 2017 and is the field leader for the West Africa project. He has been in Christian ministry for over 23 years, fourteen of which he served in a pastoral role, until pursuing the Lord’s call for his family to move to full-time missions engagement. In addition to ministry, he has a background in construction, owning and operating a construction business for many of the years he was pastoring.

Jeremy has been married to his wife Jessie for 26 years. They have five children, three of whom are married and live with their spouses in the southern VA/northern NC area. Their youngest son is in the Lynchburg, VA area and engaged to be married in June of 2027. Their youngest daughter is a senior in high school and currently on the field with them. They are also expecting their first grandson this October.
